Legal Services for Non-profits: Leases

Charities and non-profit organizations often need to rent space in commercial buildings for their activities. Commercial leases are complex legal documents and should never be signed without being reviewed by a lawyer who can spot the provisions that may expose your organization to unexpected costs. The comments under "Legal Services for Business – Leases"also apply to commercial leases entered into by charities and non-profit organizations. If you are renting space in a building you own or subletting space you also need properly drafted legal agreements to protect your organization.
