Background and Experience
My 32 years of practice include:
- 14 years as an associate and partner at a large downtown law firm, practising in the areas of corporate/commercial, real estate and wills and estates,
- 13 years as in-house General Counsel to a not-for-profit corporation, and
- 5 years as a sole practitioner.
My areas of practice include:
- corporate and commercial law,
- real estate law, and
- wills, estates and trusts.
Legal services are provided for individuals, private corporations, unincorporated businesses and churches, charities and not-for-profit organizations.
I have extensive experience in providing legal services to churches, charities and non-profit organizations. I have also served on boards of directors of several charities and non-profit organizations and on church boards, committees and executives at congregational and regional levels in a volunteer capacity. All of this experience has given me an excellent understanding of the types of issues these organizations must deal with in carrying on their operations.
